エンジン内部は接着後白のサーフェサーを吹いてできる限り接着面の隙間を埋める。その後ラッカー系グランプリホワイトをエアーブラシ。ノズル？？はアルクラッドのジェットエギゾーストをエアーブラシ。

I glued the engine duct firmly and sprayed it in white primer. I found that I had to apply several several coats of primer to make the joint lines invisible.After that I sprayed Grand Prix white.I used a coat of Alclad Jet Exhaust for the exhausts.
30分で乾燥するので、タミヤマーカーの銀をドライブラシ。

Alclad dries in 30 minutes. I dry-brushed using Tamiya's silver Paint Marker.
ギラっと光る金属感がなかなかいい。

Tamiya's silver gives it very nice shine.
実物写真を見ると筋状の模様があるのでマスキングテープでマスク。

There are strips inside the duct as shown in photos of the real thing. These are masked with tape.
アルクラッドのスチールをエアーブラシこの後にエナメル黒でウオッシングを行う。

I sprayed Alclad Steel, removed the masks and then applied a wash of enamel black.
全体にバフをエアースプレイ後、縦方向に今度はアルクラッドのジェットエグゾーストをエアーブラシして完成。

I sprayed the nozzles overall in acrylic buff, then sprayed Alclad Jet Exhaust to simulate jet exhaust marks.
テクニクスのエンジンをインストールするためにハセガワのソーで指定箇所を丁寧にカットする。注意しないと後で泣くことになる。

I cut the engines off the F-14A with Hasegawa's model saw. You need to pay attention to cut in the exact place instructed in the Teknics manual. It's very important to follow the instruction, otherwise you will cry later.
レジンパーツを瞬間接着剤で貼り付け上下パーツを接着する。反りがあるので、輪ゴムと洗濯ばさみでしっかり圧着する。

I attached the resin parts with instant glue and then glued the upper and lower parts together tightly. I used clips and rubber bands to ensure tight sealing.
どうしても隙間ができる部分は、

If the gaps can not be controlled...
パテで隙間を埋める。

...fill the gap with putty.
乾燥後、600番から1200番でパテを削り、最後はパネルラインを筋彫りする。

After the putty dries, you can sand smooth with No.600 and then No.1200 paper. Finally you can rescribe the panel lines.
はめ込みパネルの隙間は瞬間接着剤で埋めてから、改めて筋彫りするときれいにパネルラインができる。写真のブランドが乾燥後あまりやせずお勧めである。

I poured instant glue into the gaps between the air-brake and the fuselage. Then I sanded the glue flat and rescribed the panel lines. Instant glue is hard enough for clean scribing. I recommend this brand of glue shown in the accompaying photo because it will not shrink as much as other brands.
